Creating Clay Organic Forms

Spend a creative morning in the clay studio at Gatakers Artspace, hand-building your own organic, nature-inspired clay form. 

Add texture, detail, and decorative clay elements, then finish your piece with underglaze if desired. You might create a purely decorative sculpture or a functional item such as a vase, platter, or bowl. With plenty of room for creativity, your final piece will be uniquely your own.

Where: Gatakers Artspace Studio

Cost: $45 per person (includes all materials and firing)

Suitable for: Adults and youth 14+

What’s included

• All clay materials and use of studio equipment
• Kiln firing, glazing, and re-firing
• Creative guidance and inspiration throughout the session

After the workshop

Your finished pieces will remain at Gatakers after the workshop for kiln firing, glazing, and re-firing. We’ll let you know as soon as they’re ready to collect.

Good to know

• Bring a water bottle
• Wear enclosed shoes
• This workshop is planned as an outdoor session, but will move indoors if the weather is unsuitable
• Bookings are essential

Workshop Cancellation Policy

• Gatakers Artspace cannot accept responsibility for any changes in personal circumstances. Missed workshops or change of mind are at your own expense.

• If a participant chooses to cancel their confirmed registration, or cannot or does not attend the workshop, the following will apply:

• The registered participant may invite another person to substitute their place in the workshop (in which they are registered) at any time at no charge;

• If notice is received 2 or less days from the scheduled starting date, a refund will not be offered.

• If a workshop is cancelled by Gatakers Artspace a full refund or a reschedule will be provided. Gatakers Artspace will endeavour to advise participants of cancellation at least 48 hours prior to workshop.
